Festival · Flagstaff
Come fall, Flagstaff leans happily into its cool-weather, mountain-town character with an Oktoberfest celebration built around regional brews, brats, and live music. As the aspens on the Peaks turn gold, it is a fitting way to toast the change of season at 7,000 feet.
Expect the classic trappings — steins of beer, German-inspired food, oompah and folk music, and good-natured contests like stein-hoisting — all in the crisp autumn air that makes fall such a special time to be in town.
It is an easy, festive outing from a Flagstaff rental and a great excuse to pair a day of leaf-peeping with an afternoon of music and beer. Dress in layers; the sun is warm but the mountain evenings cool off quickly this time of year.
