Nightlife · Flagstaff
The Museum Club is one of Route 66's great survivors — a cavernous log-cabin roadhouse that has been a Flagstaff landmark since the 1930s. Locals have called it 'The Zoo' for generations, and stepping inside, under the timber trusses and past the famous forked-tree entrance, still feels like walking into a piece of Mother Road history.
These days it is best known for live country music and a big wooden dance floor that fills up on weekends. Whether there is a band on or you are just stopping in for a drink beneath the neon, it is an easygoing, unpretentious place with a lot of character and a lot of stories.
It sits along the historic Route 66 corridor, an easy trip from most Flagstaff rentals. Check ahead for the night's lineup and any cover, wear something you can two-step in, and go ready to soak up one of the last classic roadhouses of its kind.
