Hon-Dah Resort Casino — the name means 'welcome to my home' — is the White Mountains' go-to for a lively night out. Owned and operated by the White Mountain Apache Tribe, it brings together slots, table games, dining, and a regular calendar of live music and concerts under one roof, just south of Pinetop toward the reservation.
It's the closest thing the area has to a one-stop evening: have dinner, catch a show, try your luck, or just enjoy an energy that's hard to find elsewhere in a quiet mountain town. The attached hotel and gas station make it a familiar landmark on the way in and out of the area, too.
From a Pinetop-Lakeside rental it's a short drive, which makes it an easy option when the group wants a change of pace from campfires and card games. Check the events calendar ahead of your stay — concert nights are the ones that fill up.
