Festival · Tucson
Tucson Meet Yourself is a free folklife festival that's been celebrating the region's many cultures every October since 1974. Locals affectionately call it "Tucson Eat Yourself," and for good reason — the food is legendary, with home cooking from dozens of the community's cultural and ethnic traditions.
Beyond the food booths, downtown fills with live music, dance performances, craft demonstrations, and artisans over a long weekend. It's a genuine grassroots celebration of southern Arizona's cultural mix — Mexican, Native American, and communities from around the world — rather than a polished tourist event, and that's exactly its charm.
It's free and centered downtown, easy to reach on the streetcar from a central rental. Come hungry, bring cash for the food booths, and plan to graze your way across the festival.
