Old Town is the walkable heart of Scottsdale, where the city's Old West roots meet a lively contemporary arts and dining scene. The blocks are compact and flat, lined with galleries, boutiques, patio restaurants, and the vintage storefronts that give the district its character.
It's the one part of the Valley where you can park the car and spend a whole day on foot. The Scottsdale Arts District is dense with galleries, and the long-running Thursday-evening ArtWalk is a genuine local tradition — galleries stay open late and the streets fill with people. By day it's shops and museums; after dark the same blocks become the city's nightlife hub.
It's the easiest neighborhood to base a trip around if you want to walk to dinner. Many of our Old Town-area rentals put you within a short stroll of the galleries and patios, and the parking garages around the district are the simplest option if you're driving in for the evening.
