Pinnacle Peak Park sits in the foothills of North Scottsdale, built around a distinctive granite summit that rises above the surrounding desert. The park's main trail is a well-maintained out-and-back that winds through boulder fields and towering saguaros.

It's a favorite for a shorter desert hike that still feels like a real adventure. The trail undulates rather than climbing relentlessly, delivering steady views across the foothills toward Troon and the McDowells, and it's a popular spot for watching rock climbers work the peak itself. Interpretive signs along the way point out desert plants and wildlife.
